U bene me shume se dy dite qe siti zyrtar i shperndarjes se mirenjohur Linux, slackware.com, eshte i paarritshem. Mesa duket shkaktar eshte nje sulm DoS, qe ka vazhduar gati dy dite.
Ja çfare mund te lexohet nga slack-current changelogs te 13.12.02:

" As many of you have noticed, the slackware.com website is not online. We offer our apologies, but we've been the target of DoS attacks for a few days. We're investigating the problem, but can't give an estimate of when the site will return. If anyone has any additional information that might be helpful to us in tracking down the source of these attacks, please email us at security@slackware.com. Thanks for your patience."

Sigurisht, mezi presim qe gjithçka te sistemohet sa me pare.

The Register boton nje artikull sipas te cilit qarkullojne zera mbi blerjen e mundeshme te Borland nga ana e Microsoft. Sikur kjo te vertetohet Microsoft do te heqe qafe kundershtarin e tij kryesor persa i takon veglave te zhvillimit, dhe ne te njejten kohe do te pasurohet me nje know-how te pamase. Gjithashtu ne shporte gjen edhe teknollogjine e application design te TogetherSoft, te blere para pak kohesh nga Borland.
Ky lajm eshte me te vertete i hidhur per zhvilluesit Delphi dhe Kylix, pasi shume prej tyre ne asnje menyre pranojne te punojne dhe te zhvillojne duke perdorur tools e Microsoft.

The AGP reorg, fbdev merge, and the s390 updates also help make the patch quite large.

Per arsye te disa bug te zbuluar ne momentet e fundit, leshimi i versionit 3.1 te KDE i parashikuar per javen tjeter, eshte shtyre per muajin qe vjen. Nderkohe leshohet KDE 3.1RC5.
