Marcelo Tosatti, maintainer i kernel 2.4, ka njoftuar që është shtuar në degën stabël të kernel suporti për XFS, filesystem-i i shpejtë i SGI.

Sapo është lëshuar versioni i ri 1.1.1 i Epiphany, browser-it web për GNOME. Bazuar në Gecko, ky browser, me hapa të shpejtë po kthehet në zgjedhjen optimale për të gjithë përdoruesit e Desktop Gnome.

Me një komunikatë për shtypin SCO bëri të ditur që siti qendror (www.sco.com) i tyre ka qenë nën një sulm të llojit Distributed Denial of Service Attack (DDoS). Komunikata recitonte si në vazhdim:

"The SCO Group, Inc., owner of the UNIX operating system, today confirmed that on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003 at approximately 4:20 a.m. Mountain Time, it experienced a large-scale distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack."

Duke injoruar me dashje frazën "owner of the UNIX operating system" disa nga ekspertët më të njohur në fushën e sigurisë, shprehën dyshim mbi vërtetësinë apo shkakun e këtij sulmi.

The waiting is over! PHP-Nuke 7.0 FINAL has been released. This is first version tested in both Linux and Windows and distributed in ZIP file format. This cool version has lot of security holes and various fixes, includes a new groups system, points system based on user's activity on the site, expiration date for blocks, configuration of the security graphic check for login screens, updated rc4 crypt class on WebMail module and a lot more.
